Emergency Dental Care
Sudden tooth pain, swelling, or a broken tooth? Call with your symptoms and when they began; the office will confirm an available visit.

What Can Emergency Dental Care Help You Address?
Pain begins suddenly
Call with the location of the pain, when it began and whether anything makes it worse.
A tooth breaks or is injured
Describe what happened and whether there is bleeding or a change in how the teeth meet.
Swelling develops
Tell the office if swelling is spreading or accompanied by other symptoms. Breathing or swallowing trouble needs emergency medical care.

Your Visit, Step by Step
Call and describe the problem
Explain pain, swelling, damage or a recent injury so the office can discuss an assessment.
Find the cause
Examine the affected area and use tests or imaging when appropriate.
Discuss the next step
Explain options to address the problem, including follow-up treatment or referral when needed.
Ongoing Care
Follow the instructions given after your assessment. Seek emergency medical care rather than waiting for a dental appointment if swelling affects breathing or swallowing, or there is a serious facial injury.
Common Questions
Can I be seen the same day?
Call to check availability and describe your symptoms. The office will confirm what can be arranged; same-day care is not guaranteed.
Does pain always mean the tooth needs to come out?
No. Pain has different causes and treatment options. An examination is needed to decide whether the tooth can be treated and retained.
What information should I give when I call?
Describe where the problem is, when it started, whether there is swelling or an injury, and any relevant medical history or medication.
